However, throughout the years, Marches have become more than just a militaristic music. Today, marches inspire, cheer, and speak a language that bridges nations, cultures and creeds. Sound Off! is a collection of marches that invites the inevitable comparison of style, tempo and harmonic structure, however all but one (Johann Strauss's "Radetsky") are original compositions for band. Performed by 'The President's Own' United States Marine Band and conducted by Colonel John R. Bourgeois, Sound Off! is an incredible display of skill, hard work and incredible musicianship. As this parade of international marches passes by, perhaps listeners will gain new insight to the timeless genre in which the heartbeat is time.  21 songs, 67:28 total running time.
