Dr. Sledge Review by Matthew Orton
Overall

I own a K-Bar knife just like this one, less the accutriments related to Dr. Sledge. I can vouch for the quality of manufacturer and steel from K-Bar. I worked with Eugene Sledge at the University of Montevallo and I spent time with him in his study where the memorabilia, like this tool of a young soldier's trade, sat as humbly as the man as he related the rich and sometimes terrible stories behind the stories. I was saddened when he passed but treasured knowing this remarkable gentleman of the south. I can only wish that my K-Bar bore the reminders of his history and his courage.
