I was a volunteer, but it was the Army or Parris Island.I walked
into the Marine recruiting office and said” give me 4 years and
90 days before I have to report’ “.In other words the Army was
hot on my trail.Being a US Marine ,then and now,is one of the
best decisions of my 68 years. For you young Marines out there,
the older you get the better you will feel about being a MARINE.
