Eva, I hope you find a way to expose this guy if he is in fact a fraud.  But I am curious what it is that makes you so sure of your suspicion.  Other than him pronouncing the “P” in Corps, what has he said that doesn’t seem right?  You say you and your friend have not met him but only have had emails and phone calls.  If you could share any of that with us, it might become more obvious.

first of all, he says, that he is on a base in Germany (Boeblingen), so there should be a way to meet right?
I mean, that is not the States. And it is a four hours drive, to us.

He is using a normal email address, even, when he says, that he is on Mission. He has a normal ICQ account. Is that allowed when one is on duty?
All my questions, or hers, he is not answering, because everything is so secret. OK, I know, that Mission details and stuff are of course secret, but not his daily life there, right? He stopped talking to me, when I told him, that some years back, I knew a Marine, when I was still a Teenager, I could kick myself now, that I ever mentioned that.

She has nothing, if something should happen to him, she would have no clue, whom to ask, for example.
The number he gave her,  that she is just allowed to use in real emergency, I was checking, and it is a Berlin number.
The girl on the other end, has three kids and was talking real good German. She was very nice but also straight, I guess his wife/girlfriend, who wanted to make clear to the girl on the other end, that this guy is her guy.

Call it female instinct, I don´t know….
It is just making me so angry, to use the few the proud, YOU guys to get attention.

The guy I was once writing with,  A real Marine, whom I met,  and whom I miss like hell, taught me, what you do, and since that day, the day, I met him and learned what kind of passion you all have, I respect this all. He died for what he believed in, and it is simply not right, to abuse this.

Eva, I have had a hard time trying to figure out why he would be in Germany in the first place.  Why is he there?

I don’t know of any Marine Corps base in Germany, much less Europe unless he is attached to a unit in one of the other U.S. military branches.  I think he is a phoney or at least bending the truth.

right, there is a US military base there.
that´s it.
He says, that he is there, because of the “mission” he does.
not easy to grab him, and my friend is hating me already.

Telling me, that I am just jealous, because she got a Marine, dear god, it is really a nightmare.

Considering the below he might well be a Marine there are Marines stationed on this base. Information comes from Global security which is a public information service.

my belly tells me, that this all is a big fake.
Since, I cannot nail him down on something, all I can do is wait.

It isn’t you that bugs us. It is the subject matter that is bothersome.  You, my lady, are welcome here.  We just have trouble figuring how to instruct you to catch him in his lie.  In person, any one of us could trip him up pretty easily but a non Marine may not understand enough of what we suggest to be helpful.  Do ask him what his MOS Is and tell us how he answers.  That may give us the info we need to determine whether or not he is/was a Marine.  His answer should consist of a four digit number, like 0311 then a verbal explanation, like infantry.

me again, the demanding girl from Germany.
I did what Mike told me,asking his MOS. You wanna know, his nice answer?
I tell ya, i was boiling, what an asshole, so the answer was : Listen bitch, it is not your business, keep out. And let me do!

Let him do what? What an ... well it is a nice forum, i should behave.
I told, him, that i will find a way, and that i am in contact with real honorable guys, he can prepare.Which is not really true, i am just writing in a forum…but well.
He was laughing at me. Telling me, that I am a nobody, and that i am just jealous of what the two have.

So, that is really great.
now i am a bitch. And jealous. fine.
