Pride is something I learned all over again through my son who is a USM. In his less than two year MC Career he has reminded our entire family what pride is and how hard he had worked to earn it and help to keep this great nation safe. We all forget how much our military gives of themselves and their familes to do just that. As a Mom I have always been more than proud of my children. They are my life…as a Marine Mom…it’s hard to come up with the words to explain how proud I am of my son. He has become the man that I always knew he could be and more…saying thank you to all who serve our country is never enough, but it’s something we need to do more of…Thanks to you, my son and all who serve!

I tell all young people, the one thing the Marine Corps gives you no other service can is pride. Pride of service that lasts a lifetime, cannot be explained to non-Marines and continues to grow as you get older.

Nice job Tom. While reading it I couldnt help haveing some Pride of my owne. You see I have my third Grandson going into our Corps in October. Its hard to believe I was at M.C.R.D. San Diego in 1966, and now their serving the same great Corps!!! S/F Garry
