www.IndianaMarines.com Come join your fellow Marines and Navy FMF Corpsmen on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 1930. We meet at American Legion Post 66 located at 132 Wiggs, Griffith Indiana. Our membership is quite active supporting active duty and former military members and their families who make up the residents of Northwest Indiana. The meetings are casual, well attended, and include Marines and Corpsmen ranging from their late 20's to the late 90's with the median age being about 55. Members represent major battles from WWII, Korea, Somalia, Gulf War, and the current war on terror. While many are combat Marines, we have plenty of peacetime Marines as well! While a member of this detachment, you can expect to experience the brotherhood that we remember, support local and national Marine Corps charities, travel to Marine Corps related sites (Marine Corps Museum, Graduations, Camp Pendleton, and other reunions), and participate in celebrating the lives of our fellow Marines and FMF Corpsmen. This is a great group! For more information visit our website at www.IndianaMarines.com, our facebook page at www.facebook.com/IndianaMarines or give Bill Schroeder a call at 219-789-2722. We hope to see you at a meeting very soon!

http://www.mcleaguecolorado.com About the Marine Corps League: The Marine Corps League perpetuates the traditions and spirit of ALL Marines and Navy FMF Corpsmen, who proudly wear or who have worn the eagle, globe and anchor of the Corps. It takes great pride in crediting its founding in 1923 to World War I hero, then Major General Commandant John A. Lejeune. It takes equal pride in its Federal Charter, approved by An Act of the Seventy-Fifth Congress of the United States of America and signed and approved by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on August 4, 1937. The League is the only Federally Chartered Marine Corps related veterans organization in the country. Since its earliest days, the Marine Corps League has enjoyed the support and encouragement of the active duty and Reserve establishments of the U. S. Marine Corps. Today, the League boasts a membership of more than 76,000 men and women, officer and enlisted, active duty, Reserve Marines, honorably discharged Marine Veterans and qualified Navy FMF Corpsmen and is one of the few Veterans Organizations that experiences increases in its membership each year.
