- My ” New York Marine” automobile plate
-
Sgt. Grit I have been a PA resident for nearly 15 years. When You offered the Marine State plates I jumped at the chance to get one. When I joined the Corps in Jan 1955 I was a NY resident so I wanted to honor my Marine Corps heritage with the NY plate rather than one from PA. I get many comments about the plate… not always flattering. But I proudly say “F--- em’ if they can’t take a joke.” I love PA but I’m a native born …

- ROK Marine
-
I had Sgt Grit make a ball cap for my barber, a ROK Marine. When I gave it to him, he had a smile from ear to ear. He has many ROK Marine memorabilia in his shop, including U.S. Marines things. This tells me “Once A Marine, Always A Marine” also refers to our ROK brothers. I have attached a picture of the cap. Thanks, Sgt Grit, for doing a great job in creating this cap. By the way, no, I did not accept a free haircut. Tom Kano SSgt …

I always see the stories of items made for Marines. I just wanted to share two of my recent works. I made a double flag shadow box out of red oak. I did the complete build by myself from drawing out my plans to finished box with items in side. I also just completed a quilt that is Marine Corps themed. Both items were made by me for my boyfriend. The box was for his birthday and the quilt is for Christmas. I hope you like them. Thank you to …
