Peekaboo, We See You!: After finding a suitable "harbor site", the team hunkers down for the night. I set out trip wires/claymores and slithered back to my position within the site. This particular site was located in a elevated position making it difficult to overrun in case the enemy (instructors) decided to come at us tonite. As a general rule, our team is meant purely for reconnaissance, not C...OMBAT, therefore initiating contact by small arms is very risky, considering the small amount of firepower. The mission may be compromised and …

- My Grandfather I stumbled upon your site today when I was looking for more pages on the Sixth Marine Division. Well, I am glad to say I found your site. I am surprised that of all the old salts I have talked to from the Striking Sixth haven't posted within this section. So here I go with my attempt if you accept submissions from family members of the Sixth Marine Division. My grandfather Hyman Dan Daniels became a Marine on January 29, 1942, after one year with the Army. He wanted …

Sgt. Grit, I thought you would like to see the new 4th Marine Division Monument put up this week. It sits at the "Veterans Memorial" Eisenhower Park, East Meadow N.Y. The 1st Marine Division Association also has a beautiful monument there. Best Regards, John Ratomski

In the 11 years that I have been in our beloved Corps, I have never served with a better crew. These Devil Dogs went to CAX with only a notion of what a real machinegunner could do. While we were there, each of these marines performed admirably leaving behind their foolish notions and taking with them a found purpose. I could never imagine serving with a better group of men.
