Was in Hawaii from 1956 to 1958 First Marine Brigade. Anti Tanks. We first had the 75 RR tripod mount . then we got the ontos. Photos are from October 1958 I did't drive them was NCOIC of communications. But did have the opportunity to fire the guns.

Hi Sgt. Grit, I'm a former Marine Reservist from the 90's, I was a proud DASCateer with MASS-6 out of Miramar. Never got deployed but I did get to Battle Griffin in Norway one year, that was the highlight of my time in the Corps. This is a picture of myself (on Left) and Lt Stuart Berman standing in front of an ONTOS at 1st AT Bn CP outside DaNang in 1967. Stu had just been awarded the silver star. As I recall it was for rescuing the crew of a burning ONTOS after it had received enemy fire. Would like to hear from Stu or anyone that might know what happened to him. Greetings Marines, Here is a picture of an Ontos I took in Sept 66, in the Mo Duc region of Quang Ngai. We used to say they would fuse sand behind them when they fired all six. I rotated a month later to Pendleton. Sgt. A. Stokes G 3/11 FDC
