Posted by Sgt Grit Staff MCRD San Diego 1969 PLT 1066 Reunion group photo   The Marines of MCRD San Diego 1969 Platoon 1066 held our 4th annual reunion in Branson, MO this past weekend.  It was a great success.  What made it especially memorable was the generous donation of merchandise from SGT GRIT.  Your USMC goodies were the highlight of our banquet and the reunion.  Everyone got T-Shirts, pens, magnetic decals, catalogues, etc.   We even put together a 50 question "boot camp" quiz for the guys to take that Sgt. 3rd GUNS reunion

Just want to report on the 1st reunion of the 3rd 155/175 gun btry(SP) held at Quantico Virginia on September 22 to 25th. We had a great turnout of 47 members plus guest, totaling 88. It was a long awaited pleasure seeing a lot of guys I served with after 40+ years. We were all just young kids back then. Went to the Marine Corps Museum, a trip to D.C. and we had our reunion Banquet at the Globe & Laurel restaurant. Had a lot of fun …

Wolfpack Reunion
Posted by Sgt Grit Staff On 30 July 2011, some of the Marines of 3rd Light Armored Infantry Battalion got together for the 20th anniversary reunion from Operation Desert Storm.  With the help of Facebook (as well as one Marine knowing where another was living) we got about 100 from the Wolfpack back together for an amazing weekend.  We also streamed a live feed and had another 100 watching from around the world.  Our unit is credited with firing the first shot in Operation Desert Storm as well as receiving many individual and unit honors …

Grit: Since 1996 our boot camp platoon has had AT LEAST one reunion somewhere in the United States every year.  This year it was held in Prescott Valley, Arizona on June 9, 10, and 11.  We started training June 1964 and graduated September 1964. My Brothers

We ate the same sand together, laughed together, cryed together, and loved and hated each other together. On May 12th, 2011 we stood together once more. Older and wiser but still the same.
