Vietnam 68 - 69 Tattoo
This is a tattoo acquired by a young just 18 year old just before deployment to the Northern I Corp. of Vietman in 1968, obtained in California. It is the best thing this Grunt ever did to honor the Corp. we served. We least not forget the ones we lost who gave all. Glad to have served, glad to have survived, glad to keep the memory alive for all of those that served.

Colored Emblem TattooMy name is Eddie. I have been the marines for two years and right after I got home out of bootcamp I wanted to get my first tatoo and I wanted it to be the eagle, globe, and anchor. I have sense gotten three others and am very proud of every single one but this is my favorite. |
AAVP7A1 RAM/RS
"AAVP7A1 RAM/RS" I served on the USS Carter Hall with the 26th MEU (SOC) BLT 1/8 on a med float during 2003 during Operation Enduring freedom as a part of JTF Liberia and JTF Horn Of Africa. This was my baby and I still miss her everyday. Amtrackers can be passionate about their vehicles. :)

Eagle and USA Star Tattoo
Hello. Thought I would share this with you. I got this tattoo 4 years ago to
honor my family and friends in the military, and the sacrifices they have
made. My father was a USMC sniper in Vietnam. The tattoo was done by Jeff
"Freebird" Stroud at his shop, The Edge, in Houghton, MI. |
USMC EGA Tattoo

John Wayne Tattoo
I had the opportunity of a lifetime on July 14, 1966, while serving with India Co 3rd Bn 9th Mar. out of An Hoa. when I met John Wayne. Although there is a story with this, it is somewhat embarrassing to relate to this day. Mr. Wayne gave me one of his business cards and on the back he wrote what is underneath his portrait. I have that business card after all of these years. Thanks to Tim at Custom Skin Art in Altoona, PA. for this fine work and the work he did on my other 5 tattoos. I really could not explain to my children all of my experiences from those days in Viet Nam and decided to use the art of tattoo to try and relate what words could not accomplish.

Eagle USMC Tattoo
I got this tattoo a year ago. I was in the Corps from 76-80 and it took me this long to get this one done. Over my heart is the location. When we are in we want out and nothing to do with the Crotch but years down the rode we change somehow and are so very proud to be a MARINE.
|
Marine Flag Tattoo
I've been out of the Crops for over 30 years and always wanted a tat to show my pride. I worked in a very dirty place and all cuts got infected. I retired last year after 30 years and got this a month later. I couldn't think of anything that said "Marine Corps" any louder than this! |
Semper Fi Do or Die Tattoo
I have this tattoo on my right inner forearm. If you read the dark ink one way it will read Semper Fi and if I turn my arm the other direction the Light Ink will read Do Or Die.
I came up with it, designed it and found someone good enough to put it on for me. |
Iwo Jima Tattoo

Marine Heart Tattooo
This was called a marines heart when I first saw it a buddy came up with the custom work. |
Eagle, Globe, and Anchor Tattoo
I got my Eagle, Globe, and Anchor on Sept. 12, 2002 after graduating boot camp, and after serving in OIF 1 I designed my second tattoo to honor all those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. Without our honor, and respect for them, our Corps would be nothing.

Bio-Hazard Tattoo
This is a pictures of my husbands tattoo. He got it right before he left for Iraq this January 2007. I had been dying for him to get one since we met and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. We got one together! He is an NBC guy, so his friend designed a bio-hazard symbol and we placed the words death before dishonor around it. It is a moto tat for a moto marine. Thanks Heather Bogielski

Moto Tattoos... Not Just for Marines?
I was reading about all the different things that were said about people who aren’t Marines getting "moto" tattoos. I love them. For a Marine wife it’s just as hard. Marine wife’s stands there by their Marines side the whole way and it’s not easy. Since I’m not a wife yet I can’t say "I" but I have there with my Marine before he was a Marine. I’m as "Moto" as anyone out there. My car says it all. I would love to have some simple EGA tattooed on my body with the phrase "standing by his side forever and always" somewhere on my body but for now Fidelis graces my side and on my marine’s side graces Semper. When we stand together it explains what we are and what the Marine Corp is to us…Always Faithful. Right now my always is miss from my side because he is on deployment in Iraq with 3/7 Lima Company but well be returning home to me again, so we can finally get married. |
