Temporary Surprise!

Can you handle another "tattoo story"? I have been married to my Marine for 37 years (lst Sgt Dewayne Cargill 1961-1981, Da Nang 1971). I recently got a "tattoo" of the Marine Corps emblem on my right hip where only my husband could see it. He was very surprised that I would do anything like this; he wanted to know where I had it done and what possessed me to do such a thing. I told him that I had gone to a local tattoo parlor and I wanted to surprise him with it. I told him that I endured the pain for him. He was absolutely amazed and very happy about it. When he told me a few days later that he was going to tell his buddies, I decided it was time to tell him the truth. I had ordered the temporary tattoo from Sgt. Grit!!! I'm always looking for ways to keep our marriage fresh. He's a wonderful guy and I love him very much.

Helped Me Get My Wife

Here is a picture of my tattoo that I got in 1993. I was still in MOS school at Ft Devens MA. I think it helped me pick up my wife!

This is my first tattoo which I got at Mighty Joe's in North Carolina while attending School of Infantry in '89. I am proud to show it to everyone and proud to be a Marine with India 3/3. I served from 1989-1993 - Once a Marine, Always a Marine.

Great Cover Up

Hey Motivator of Motivator's,

Here is a tattoo for your BS page, This was originally a bulldog just like 75% of all Marines get down at ITB/MCT in Lejuene only I got mine out at 29 Stumps. When I got out in 2000 I decided I wanted something bigger and better, so I sat down with my tattoo artist and came up with this original cover up. You won't find this hanging on a wall in any tattoo parlor this is hand drawn and retired OOH RAH!!! and SEMPER FI!! and for those FEW who know what this means YAT YAS!!!

Enclosed you'll find a picture of a tattoo my son got while attending "security forces" school in chesapeake va. notice the dog tag's....son is in front and dad's is in the rear. i guess thats the "new corps in place of the old corps". either way.....it's still the marine corps. thanks.....
