Sgt Grit is gathering photos for a 2007 Calendar! We are looking for photos of Marines (past, present and future), special Marine Corps memories, anything Marine Corps related. We will pick the best 12 -24 photos and those selected will receive a free calendar and a $15 Gift Certificate.
Rules for submitting photos:
NO PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS
NO PHOTOSHOPPING or other digital manipulation. this contest is about photography, not about one's expertise with a graphical application.
NO PHOTO ALBUMS such as Snapfish or Kodak Easy Share.
The photo does not have to be taken by you, but the photograph's author must be aware of the submission. Each image submitter is required by US law to own the right to, or to obtain permission to use any image before the image is submitted for use.
All photos submitted will be evaluated by Sgt Grit and Staff. Of the judges, none are professional photographers. Each judge will simply select the photos that strike them most for whatever reason.
Note: By submitting a photo to Sgt Grit, you give us permission to post the submission on our website at the conclusion.
Electronic Submission:
Forward your photo in a jpg, tif, pdf format to alally@grunt.com
Notes regarding electronic submissions:
- Send the highest quality image possible - 300 dpi & above. It is much easier to make an image smaller than it is to make it bigger and I'd hate for the quality of anyone's image to affect the judging.
- Do not watermark, add decorative borders or place any other distinguishing marks (i.e. name, copyright) on the image.
- Please provide information about the photo you are submitting. Ex: date, place, story, names, etc.
