EMAIL FAQ - How do I make sure that any deleted email does not stay in my mail box?
When reading your email online using Smarter Mail, email will be moved to the "Deleted Items" folder whenever you delete it. This can result in your mailbox eventually getting full up, as the deleted email never gets removed from your mail box.
To prevent this happening you can change the settings so that when you delete an item of email in your INBOX it is not moved to the "Deleted items" folder
Login to your email online
Select Settings | My Setting

Scroll down to Display
Settings and set
When Messages are deleted = "Delete message and purge folder"

Remember to press the save button
