Get Some Marine Corps Icons For Your Personal Computer

WINDOWS Downloading Steps

1. Click on the text link above (not the actual image) to download the icon(s) you wish to use.
   
   
2. The icon file will open in another window as an image.
   
   
3. Right click on the image and select SAVE AS.
   
   
4. You can save the file to any place on your hard drive that it won't be deleted by accident and as long as you remember where it is. I would suggest saving it to your C:\\WINDOWS directory with the default windows icons.
   
   
5. YOU HAVE SAVED THE ICON FILE TO YOUR HARD DRIVE, ON TO THE NEXT STEP.
   
   

MAKE IT WORK WITH WINDOWS

1. Make sure all of the windows from the previous steps are closed.
   
   
2. Right click on any blank/empty spot on your desktop.
   
   
3. When the pop up menu appears, click on PROPERTIES.
   
   
4. When the display properties box opens, look through the tabs at the top of the window for one that says EFFECTS or DESKTOP (or something similar that shows your desktop icons). If there is a button that says "Customize Desktop", click that. If not, just move on to step 5.
   
   
5. Click once to select the icon that you would like to change to the new Marine Corps Icons you have chosen.
   
   
6. Click on CHANGE ICON
   
   
7. Another new window will open with an icon selection, click on the BROWSE button.
   
   
8. When the display box opens, you can now browse to where ever you saved your icon (.ico) file to on your hard drive.
   
   
9. Once you have located the icon file, double click on it to select it as the Icon you wanted to change.
   
   
10. Click on APPLY when you are returned to the main EFFECTS panel. If you are on the DESKTOP panel, you will not need to do this. You should see the icon has already changed.
    
    
11. You can now close all open windows to see your new Marine Corps icons on your desktop!
