Marine Poolee Subdues Colorado High School Shooter

The United States Marine Corps has confirmed that Brendan Bialy, a current poolee in the Marine Corps Delayed Entry Program (DEP), assisted in subduing an active shooter at STEM School Highlands Ranch on May 7, 2019.

Brendan’s courage and commitment to swiftly ending this tragic incident at the risk of his own safety is admirable and inspiring. His decisive actions resulted in the safety and protection of his teachers and fellow classmates.

Brendan joined the DEP July 12, 2018 out of Recruiting Sub-station Parker, CO, and is scheduled to ship to recruit training this summer.

For more information concerning the details of the incident, please contact local authorities. (Link)

This young man will make an excellent Marine. The only challenge left for him to overcome is to achieve his EGA in Marine Boot Camp. Best of luck to this courageous young man and all the blessings in the world. Will have this young man in my prayers. Semper Fi!

You have all the makings of a Marine, job well done. Show what you are made of in boot camp, you deserve that first stripe now. Your parents are extremely proud of you as we all are. Semper Fi poolee!

Same recruiting station my son went through. One of the best recruiting stations there is, although great Marines come from everywhere. Your actions have already shown you will be another great Marine. Push hard in everything you do, nothing is easy. And for Kendrick Castillo, you could have been another great Marine. Prayers to your family for their great loss.
